The Lafayette, Indiana, U.S.A. facility is home to more than 1,900 Caterpillar employees. They design and manufacture Cat® 3500, 3600, and C175 engines. These diesel, gas, and dual fuel engines are used in marine, petroleum, electric power and rail applications as well as in large Cat mining trucks.

The smallest engine built in Caterpillar's Lafayette facility is too big for the largest truck in the exhibit below!
